Christmas bauble:  Apple woman

The "Apfelweibla" is a character from E.T.A. Hoffmann's world of stories. She appears on the streets with her basket full of apples - an old woman with a mysterious aura, who at first glance seems inconspicuous, but always carries something mysterious and fantastic with her. In Hoffmann's stories, reality and fairy tales become blurred, and the Apfelweibla stands precisely on this threshold: between everyday life and magic, between the hustle and bustle of the market and the lure of the unknown. A motif that embodies a piece of literary romance and legendary atmosphere.

The motif is based on a well-known bronze doorknob from Bamberg. It shows the face of an elderly woman. Designed in a shiny gold-bronze look, with fine contours and sculptural details - an expressive motif full of character.
