Christmas bauble:  Baba Yaga

Baba Yaga is one of the best-known figures in Slavic mythology and folk tales. She is the mysterious witch who lives in a hut on chicken legs and rides through the air in a mortar. Sometimes she is depicted as a wise old woman who gives advice, sometimes as a sinister figure who imposes trials. She sweeps away the traces behind her with her broom and has been a symbol of magic, riddles and old stories told by the fire on long winter nights for centuries.

The figure shows a witch with a distinctive face, red headgear and shimmering green details in her robe. She leans into a brown basket, which she holds in both arms, and holds a small broom made of real twigs in her hand. The colors range from earthy brown and green tones to sparkling glitter accents that emphasize the mysterious character.
