Christmas bauble:  Caution: Slippery!

A peeled banana, carelessly left lying around, is one of the most famous comic clichés of all time: No sooner does someone accidentally step on the slippery peel than the classic slip—complete with a leap into the air—follows. This humorous gag has long since become an integral part of pop culture—from old cartoons to slapstick comedy, the banana peel motif appears as a symbol of minor mishaps and unexpected stumbling blocks in everyday life. There’s actually a grain of truth to it, because the smooth inner surface of a banana peel can indeed pose a slipping hazard on a smooth surface. Thus, the banana is not only a healthy snack but also a symbol of situational comedy and life’s small, surprising twists.

This glass figurine depicts a partially peeled banana with a naturally curved shape. The upper section is a vibrant yellow with a greenish stem, while the folded-down peel glows in a creamy white.
