It is a popular edible mushroom. No wonder, because this chestnut mushroom with its crunchy stalk and thick, curved cap looks simply mouth-watering.
But it's not just the knobbly shape, the colouring in iridescent forest tones also makes this little treat a real feast for the eyes: in addition to a dark moss green at the base, the stem and underside of the cap shimmer in a matt champagne shade. The rich brown, characteristic cap is also adorned with a filigree, golden-brown glittering rim.
