Christmas bauble:  Cinnamon bun

The cinnamon bun is probably one of the few snails that almost everyone likes to eat. It is widespread and can be found under many names

  • as "Schneckennudel" in the southwest of Germany
  • as "Zuckerschnecke" in Austria
  • as "kanelsnegl" in Denmark
  • as "kanelbulle" in Sweden
  • as "cinnamon roll" in North America
The yeast pastry is characterized by its fluffy dough and the cinnamon-sugar mixture, which makes the pastry a treat for many.

The twists of the rolled-up dough are clearly visible in the Christmas bauble. The cinnamon and sugar are clearly visible as a brown filling between the light brown dough. The cinnamon and/or sugar seem to glisten gently on the surface, making you

want to bite into it if it wasn't made of glass.
