He went down in history as one of the greatest freedom fighters: Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, also better known as Mahatma Gandhi, the Indian lawyer who spent his life focusing on the form of non-violent, political protest and whose endeavours against oppression and inequality continue to inspire to this day.
