Christmas bauble:  Hammerhead shark

Alongside the great white shark, the hammerhead shark is probably one of the most famous animals of its kind. Its characteristic broadening of the skull, which is flat, broad and rectangular, just like a hammer, makes it simply unmistakable.

The distinctive hammer shape also adorns the animal's head as a glass figurine for the Christmas tree. Attentive eyes on both sides and a mouth with white teeth and a dark opening also form the memorable face of the predatory animal. The typical shark-shaped body of the cartilaginous fish is cut and muscularly powerful. Only in the colouring did the painters draw inspiration from the beautiful blue of the ocean: Instead of a perhaps monotonous shark grey, the hammerhead shimmers in a deep sea blue, which also shimmers elegantly into silver-grey on the belly. Bluish-transparent glitter dust on the back of the sea dweller also creates mysterious glitter effects.
