Taking photos like in grandma's day? No, this ornate Christmas tree ornament doesn't actually take pictures. But the sight of it makes us dream of a past that lies far in the past and was somehow golden - just like the numerous, loving details on the figurine itself. Years ago, when taking photos was still something special and all the technology was much more expansive and aesthetically pleasing than it is today, when the phone does everything so smartly and has long since only fitted into a back pocket.
The historic camera was very different: the housing, decorated with golden glitter contours, shines in an iridescent brown, as if made of wood, and when opened reveals the typical black accordion panelling. A gold-framed, silver reflective lens captures the motif at the front. A golden strap on the outer left-hand side guarantees ease of use and a secure grip. A particularly beautiful detail: the shiny, plate-shaped flash with light bulb including painted filament, which creates a radiant effect when attached to the top.
