"Plaisir de Bleu" - blue joy; cheese fans will probably be overcome with joy at the sight of this decorative delicacy. Because the well-ripened, matt yellow colour of the strong rind dangling from the golden crown is actually a Roquefort for the Christmas tree. "Blue mould" is written in blue on the beige wreath of the round label attached to the top of the piece. In the centre: a round soft cheese wheel in front of the French flag.
This cheese delicacy also comes as a sliced slice of cake. Greenish speckles on the bumpy surface of the cut edges testify to the spicy or strongly aromatic interior of the popular cheese, which is clearly polarising, at least in its natural presentation form, thanks to its strong smell and taste. But don't worry: as realistic as the artistic colouring may seem. You - and all cheese haters - can rest assured: This Roquefort exudes no odour to speak of and should still look as fresh as the first day many years from now.
