"... then we'll build the snowman and throw the ball." Does the sight of this cute little child make you involuntarily think of the last verses of the famous winter song "Schneeflöckchen Weißröckchen"? The glass figurine seems to have almost sprung from the verse.
It expresses pure winter nostalgia; both the motif and the whitish, powdery snow-covered surface. A happy-looking child is enthroned on a thick, round snow globe, as if made for a snowman, his little arms carefully seeking support on the frosty seat to the right and left. Golden blonde curls peek out from under the thick, furry hood, which, like the warmly lined jacket, wraps the child securely. Apart from the delicate rosy hands, only the face defies the cold and this is characterised by filigree accuracy and a truly artistic porcelain complexion.
