Christmas bauble:  Toilet paper

From prop to starring role: whether a joke or a memorial, a memento (of a completely crazy time) or an artistic Christmas tree ornament - since its bizarre appearance right at the start of the coronavirus pandemic, the ordinary roll of toilet paper has long since mutated from a toilet prop to a starring role in the truest sense of the word. For weeks, it was in the spotlight, or rather not in the spotlight at all, because paradoxically, it shone during its big appearance by not appearing, by empty shelves, by being "sold out".

Now she returns here. Classic, simple and unspent. Unconsumable, to be precise, because the matt, shimmering, whitish paper with the small, embossed dots and the delicate, silver-white glitter dust is actually made of fine glass. For the Christmas tree or rather: for all those who, after the experience of previous years, prefer to have a spare roll in the house and who take life with one thing above all else: with humour.
