It is simply a classic among pastries: the Gugelhupf. A delicious sponge cake in a characteristic shape. Round, fluffy and upright with a hole in the middle.
This glass version for the Christmas tree is particularly delicious and extremely decorative. The light brown cake batter shimmers as if freshly baked and has been coated in a flowing dark brown glaze. Gold-brown mini pearls as a topping look like a sprinkled sugar decoration. Incidentally, the central hole is sugared brown on one side. The other side has a neutral silvery shimmer.
