You can find them in every vegetable section. Some grow them proudly in the garden, others feed them to their horses. And even the little ones enjoy their first mash with it: with the carrot, THE healthy classic par excellence in our agricultural and domestic latitudes. So what? Watch out, now it's getting exotic! The familiar plant becomes almost extraordinary when you take it out of its usual context and give it a special stage - as a glass ornament in the Christmas tree.
Oops, the first might exclaim, the next grins, the third laughs. This is what it will probably look like when it unfolds in its elongated splendour in an unusual setting: the carrot with its slender, slightly puckish, irregular body that tapers towards the bottom. In a ripe shade of orange, it vies for attention, shiny strokes on the otherwise matt, slightly chequered lacquer with fine, black lines create an amazingly realistic look. And the fresh green colour on top? It has already been cut down considerably to make it kitchen-friendly and capped with a golden crown for easy hanging.
