Did you know that the char is a salmonid fish? This magnificent specimen will make you believe it, because this fish looks almost mouth-watering for the Christmas tree.
The rump of its streamlined body gleams silver. The iridescent color gradient darkens over the slightly pink sides to the shimmering grey back. Black speckles and stripes on the dorsal and caudal fins also make for an exciting scaly dress. A quick, black eye on both sides with a white dot in the middle gives the char a look full of character above the pink mouth.
Small note: Due to its construction, the proud fish dangles down from its silver crown in an upward swimming posture - with its center of gravity at the back so that the tail fin points downwards and the head at an angle upwards.
