It is the classic among Christmas decorations: the nutcracker. A work of art, kitchen gadget and wooden toy all in one and, since Tchaikovsky's famous ballet of the same name, so much more. It goes without saying that it also makes an excellent ornament in the Christmas tree as an artistically blown glass decoration. This stately model is particularly magnificent with a size of 18 cm, which also makes it perfect as a stand-alone piece on a decorative door wreath.
His traditional, lavishly decorated uniform jacket is bright red and immediately catches the eye. The friendly little man stands at attention in his classic black boots, cream-colored trousers and tall, nostalgic soldier's hat. White, slightly slicked-back hair and a long, matching beard frame the rosy face with funny bared teeth, a black moustache and blue, lovingly dabbed-on eyes. Only one small detail causes smiling confusion: the figure does not have the obligatory laps in the back, i.e. the lever for cracking nuts. No matter. The nutcracker is only meant to be looked at anyway!
