Christmas bauble:  Little Red Riding Hood and the wolf

Fairytale-like and with a front and back: the cream-coloured reversible ball in the shape of an egg really packs a punch. Or rather, it has it all. Because motifs from the famous Brothers Grimm fairy tale have been depicted on two sides - and in an artistic and intricate way too.

On the one side, you can see a cosy little house with a red tiled roof, a brown door and an illuminated mullioned window in a green clearing in the forest, as tall, green fir trees line the picture to the right and left, which rises up in three dimensions. The other side leaves no doubt: Little Red Riding Hood, wearing a red cap, red dress and light blue apron, holding the obligatory basket for her grandmother, stands in the mossy ground. Directly behind her and stretching his curious face towards the viewer is the brown wolf that gives the painting its name. Also flanked by tall fir trees.
