The London Eye (or Millennium Wheel) rises 135 meters into the sky directly above the Thames. It is considered one of the British capital's landmarks. At a comfortable 1km/h, the second highest Ferris wheel in Europe (as of 2022) offers its visitors a spectacular view over London.
Filigree lines trace the shapes of the Ferris wheel, making it easy to recognize its structure despite its Christmas bauble shape. The gondolas for the passengers are clearly visible on the outer metallic blue-grey ring. The inner area of the wheel with the tensioning elements appears to glow red in the evening sun. At the base is the inscription "London Eye". This makes it impossible to confuse it with one of the world's other gigantic Ferris wheels.
