Christmas bauble:  Polar bear cub

We usually recognise it in large size: the polar bear, the largest land-dwelling predator on earth. The polar inhabitant, whose habitat is unfortunately shrinking due to climate change and who - perhaps as a small memorial - deserves a place of honour on the Christmas tree.

Here it is in its cuddly cub version. In small. Roundish, furry, covered all over in white glitter, his cute face, snout and eyes drawn with delicate brushstrokes. Gently shimmering between the legs and paws: a pale blue colour like the ice of an ice floe.
