The rectangular casing gleams golden - as if made of sheet metal. The typical round eyelet with which the lid is rolled up has also been expertly used. A golden roller bears witness to a few successful turns, the box is half open and the view is unobstructed:
Five splendid and amusing little fish lie close together, looking cheerfully at each other with funny, dark eyes, as if they want to amuse the viewer with the picture they present. Anyone who still can't believe their eyes can have any doubts about the label dispelled. "Sardines" is written unmistakably in dark letters on a blue background.
