Something exotic for the tree: what kind of beautiful blue bird is sitting in the green of the fir tree? With a matt back, a greenish head and a striking yellow breast along with a yellow-blue tail made of real feathers, it is perched on a silver clip on the branches, leaving no room for doubt:
This is a yellow-breasted macaw. And a particularly ornate one at that. Made of glass and painted with skilful brushstrokes, both artificially and in great detail, it looks amazingly similar to its natural model. The beak gleams black, the characteristic facial colouring shines white with numerous fine black lines. The plumage of the wings has also been repeatedly coloured with blue and white contours.
Note: Incidentally, we measured the size without the feathers.
