It is at home in North America, where it is one of the largest birds of prey in the country. No wonder. With its outstretched wings, the bald eagle can even reach a wingspan of up to 2.5 metres. Its appearance, the dark brown plumage, which stands in clear contrast to the striking white head, which in turn has a characteristic and memorable orange-yellow beak, is simply majestic, making it the heraldic bird of the USA.
In an almost dainty form, as it is just 10 cm high, but no less proud, the elegant animal is now enthroned here in a glass version on the golden clip attachment for the Christmas tree. It has been artfully decorated, because size is not the only way to impress. The eyes, beak and claws, for example, have been carefully outlined with delicate black brushstrokes. The orange-brown ringed legs and the two-coloured beak, orange on top and yellow underneath, have been designed with just as much attention to detail as the head and tail with white bead decoration. Brown glitter on the brown and black mottled plumage adds a Christmassy flair.
