Even Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom, was depicted in ancient times with an owl as her companion. Because the pretty animal with its reversible neck, large, striking eyes and ability to see in the dark has been suspected of having absolute insight for centuries and has thus become a symbol of wisdom and prudent behaviour.
With this in mind, it is no wonder that this beautiful snowy owl, painted in wintery, matt white with plenty of glitter spots, comes with a book on which it is majestically enthroned. The cover glitters in a Christmassy red colour. The edges of the pages shimmer whitish with beige-coloured lines. A blue bookmark hangs out. And the owl itself? Of course, it looks around with its alert, yellow-gold framed eyes, between which the typical, elongated beak is placed in black.
