Two layers of wonderfully airy, crispy, beige-coloured sponge fingers alternate with thick, creamy, shiny mascarpone cream. Like a pile of wood in the forest, carefully stacked to form a square tower. And on top, as the crowning glory, so to speak? The fresh red strawberries, of course, or to be more precise strawberry halves, nine of them, also arranged in a square and decorated with two green leaves and a generous helping of white sprinkles and glitter.
