Christmas bauble:  King Melchior

What would the Christmas story be without them? The three kings, who discovered a new star in the sky and followed it from the East to the manger in Bethlehem. Richly decorated and laden with precious gifts, they are said to have come to the baby Jesus ...

... and perhaps one of them actually looked like this "Melchior"? He looks truly regal in his shiny purple robe, which has been carefully decorated with glittering gold stripes. The red coat also impresses with its lavish details: the hood and collar have been lovingly dusted with glitter; the white and black colouring is reminiscent of ermine furs from past centuries. A turban adorns the royal head and the hands of the upright stargazer clasp a golden vessel.

Of course, Melchior is also fully effective as a soloist, but his two companions, Caspar and Balthazar, make his appearance as one of the Three Wise Men simply perfect. We also have them in our range ...
