It says so clearly and unmistakably on the label. But before we take a closer look at it, our gaze falls on the gleaming white wine gold, which is combined with a glossy black band around the bottle neck and cap and not only ensures a successful appearance, but also promises class and quality. The paper label, edged with black glitter, then comes in shades of black and olive on a white background - just like its great role models from the wine shop. The message on it? "Santo Christiano 2004 Pinot Grigio" and "Veneto" in clear letters and the controlled designation of origin for Italian wine ("Denominazione di origine controllata") is not missing - even if the latter is a bit of a cheat. After all, the elegant bottle comes from Germany, where it was lovingly made by hand.
