Chic, simply chic: this little guardsman truly brings something royal to the Christmas tree. With his shiny red uniform jacket, which features a collar, cuffs, piping, buttons and a belt with a gold buckle, he looks like he has just marched in from the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace.
His glittering black bearskin hat pulled low over his face, he stands, or rather hangs, at attention, guarding the Christmas parlour with his rifle shouldered.
